About this site

What this site is

This site explains Karnataka government schemes in plain language, in English and Kannada. It is published alongside Brainiac, a free quiz app for Karnataka competitive exams such as FDA, SDA, PDO, Police Constable, VAO and KSET.

How the guides are written

Each guide is written from news reports and official-style sources, which are listed at the bottom of the page.

Every guide has a status note that separates what is confirmed from what has only been announced and what is not yet known. We would rather say a detail is missing than guess it.

Every guide shows the date it was last updated. The full list of schemes comes from one budget compilation and has not been checked line by line.

What this site is not

This is not a government website and does not take applications. Always confirm details on the official portal, such as Seva Sindhu, or at your taluk office before you apply or act on anything here.

Privacy and affiliate links

The quizzes run in your browser and nothing you answer is sent anywhere. This site has no accounts. Links to the Brainiac app on Google Play carry a campaign tag so we can see which page sent an install; it contains no personal information.

This site uses an affiliate tracking script from Impact (impact.com). If a page links to a partner offer, Impact may set cookies or use similar technology to record that you came from this site, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Apart from that script, we do not run our own analytics. The app has its own privacy policy, linked in the footer.
