Creches at gram panchayats for mothers working under MGNREGS
Koosina Mane are creches set up at gram panchayats so that mothers who work under the rural employment guarantee scheme (MGNREGS) can leave their young children in safe care while they work. The creche gives children supervised care and food, and lets mothers take up work without worrying. It is run through the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department. Ask the gram panchayat whether a creche is open in your village.
