Raitha Siri

Rs 10,000 per hectare for minor millet growers

Raitha Siri encourages farmers to grow minor millets such as ragi, jowar, foxtail millet and little millet. Farmers who grow millets receive Rs 10,000 per hectare as direct benefit transfer to their bank account. The aim is to support healthy, low-water crops and to increase millet production in dry regions. Farmers apply through the Raitha Samparka Kendra or the Agriculture department.
