Chief Minister's Vidyarthi Sahay Hasta (free coaching for degree students)
Free coaching for degree students for KPSC, KEA and other recruitment exams, through Seva Sindhu
The Chief Minister's Vidyarthi Sahay Hasta scheme is reported to give free coaching for competitive recruitment exams to students who are studying for a degree in Karnataka, so that they do not have to pay for private coaching. The exams mentioned include KPSC and KEA recruitment exams such as FDA, SDA, PDO, VAO, PSI and Group C posts. Reports say a student can register for up to three exams at a time, each course runs for up to 90 days with daily classes of about 90 to 120 minutes, in Kannada and English, and that the government pays the training institution about Rs 1,000 per student on the basis of attendance. Eligibility reported: a permanent resident of Karnataka who is currently studying for a degree. Application is reported to be online on the Seva Sindhu portal, by choosing this scheme's service, entering personal and educational details and selecting up to three exams. A helpline, 080-24410574, is reported for Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm. These figures come from a third-party article published on 13 September 2026 that does not cite a government order, and the dates of the application window are not given. Check the Seva Sindhu portal and the Department of Higher Education before applying. This is a different scheme from the 7.5 percent rural-school reservation that was announced on 15 August 2026 under a similar name.
