Additional sugarcane price support
State adds Rs 50 per tonne on top of the central FRP
For the 2025-26 crushing season the Centre fixed the Fair and Remunerative Price at Rs 3,550 per tonne (at 10.25 percent sugar recovery). The state adds Rs 50 per tonne for farmers, and Rs 300 crore was released for this in 2025-26. This item was reported in a summary of the 2026-27 budget and could not yet be confirmed against the official budget speech.
