Karnataka Higher Education Transformation Project

Rs 2,500 crore ADB-assisted upgrade of government degree colleges and polytechnics

This Asian Development Bank-supported project, with a total outlay of Rs 2,500 crore, continues in 2026-27. It is meant to develop 40 Government First Grade Colleges and 11 polytechnics as model institutions and to set up Centres of Excellence for entrepreneurship and start-ups. A related programme with AnitaB.org India will train 3,000 women STEM graduates.
