Karnataka Traditional Migratory Shepherds Act, 2025

Identity cards, welfare and protection against atrocities for migratory shepherds

This Act, in force from 16 January 2026, gives registered traditional migratory shepherds identity cards, provides for welfare schemes for housing, insurance and health, and sets strict penalties for atrocities against them.
