Cashless hospital cover of Rs 5 lakh a year for eligible families

PM-JAY is the central health insurance scheme that gives eligible families cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh a year at listed public and private hospitals. Eligibility is based on the socio-economic census, and since late 2024 senior citizens aged 70 and above are covered whatever their income. Get an Ayushman card from a Common Service Centre or the hospital help desk. In Karnataka the scheme is delivered together with the state scheme, Arogya Karnataka.
