PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana
Subsidy of up to Rs 78,000 for rooftop solar on homes
PM Surya Ghar gives a central subsidy for households to put solar panels on their roof, up to Rs 78,000 depending on the size of the system, so that the household can cut its electricity bill and sell surplus power to the grid. It is aimed at giving up to 300 units of free electricity a month in practice for suitable homes. Register on the national portal, choose a registered vendor, and get the subsidy credited to your bank account after the system is inspected. Check the portal for the current rates.
