PM-KUSUM solar pumps
Subsidy for solar irrigation pumps and farm solar plants
PM-KUSUM helps farmers install solar-powered irrigation pumps, replace diesel pumps and set up small solar plants on their land, with central and state subsidy and the rest met by the farmer or a loan. Solar pumps cut the electricity or diesel bill and let farmers irrigate in daytime. Applications go through the state nodal agency and the scheme portal. Subsidy shares and the pump sizes covered can change, so check with the Energy department or the electricity company.
