Ayushman Vay Vandana gives cashless hospital treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh a year at empanelled government and private hospitals to senior citizens aged 70 and above, with no premium. Pre-existing illnesses are covered, and the cover is for the senior citizen, not the whole family. Who benefits: all citizens aged 70 or above resident in India. Eligibility: age 70 or above with an Aadhaar card. How to apply: register on the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY portal or app with Aadhaar and OTP, call 1800 11 0770 for a callback, or visit an empanelled hospital or Common Service Centre with your Aadhaar. Budget: it is part of the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY programme; no separate figure was found.
