Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABHA health ID)

Free 14-digit ABHA health ID and digital health records

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was launched nationwide on 27 September 2021. It gives every citizen a free 14-digit ABHA number so that prescriptions, test reports and hospital records can be stored and shared digitally with consent. Any Indian resident can create one, and it is voluntary. Create it on the ABDM website or the ABHA app using the Aadhaar or mobile number, or at a participating hospital or health centre. It does not pay for treatment; for that see Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY.
