Namo Drone Didi

Drones for 15,000 women self-help groups to provide farm services

Namo Drone Didi was approved in November 2023 and runs to 2025-26 with an outlay of about Rs 1,261 crore. It gives drones to 15,000 women's self-help groups so they can offer spraying of fertiliser and pesticide as a paid service to farmers. Women SHG members from the Lakhpati Didi network can benefit; the Centre gives 80 percent of the drone cost up to Rs 8 lakh, with the rest as a loan under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. Selected women get training in drone flying and maintenance. Contact the district NRLM (Sanjeevini) office or the SHG federation.
