Har Khet Ko Pani and More Crop Per Drop: irrigation and micro-irrigation

PMKSY was launched in 2015-16 with the aim of 'Har Khet Ko Pani' (water to every field) and 'More Crop Per Drop'. It supports irrigation projects, watershed development and subsidised drip and sprinkler systems. Farmers benefit mainly through the Per Drop More Crop component, which gives a subsidy on micro-irrigation equipment, with a higher rate for small and marginal farmers. Apply through the state horticulture or agriculture department, often at the Raitha Samparka Kendra, with land records, Aadhaar and a bank account. Subsidy rates and funding vary; confirm with the department.
