e-Sanjeevani (free online doctor consultation)

Free video consultation with a doctor from home

e-Sanjeevani is the national telemedicine service of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Patients can register with a mobile number, get an OTP, and consult a doctor by video or audio for free, and the doctor can send an e-prescription. It has an outpatient service for patients at home and a doctor-to-doctor service that connects health and wellness centres to specialists. It works for common problems and follow-up visits, but not for emergencies. Service hours and available specialities can change, so check the portal or app. Not to be confused with the Arogya Sanjeevani insurance policy.

Rules, amounts and dates can change. Confirm the details on the official portal or at your taluk office before you apply.
