Mission Indradhanush (free vaccination for children)

Free vaccines for children and pregnant women under the national immunisation programme

Mission Indradhanush is a drive to reach children and pregnant women who missed their routine vaccines, as part of the Universal Immunisation Programme. Vaccines against diseases such as tuberculosis, polio, measles, hepatitis B and diphtheria are given free at government health facilities and anganwadi and outreach sessions, according to the national schedule. Parents should keep the child's immunisation card and ask the ANM, ASHA worker or anganwadi worker about the next due dose. Vaccination records can also be kept on the U-WIN portal. The schedule and the vaccines included are updated by the health ministry, so confirm the current schedule at your health centre.

Rules, amounts and dates can change. Confirm the details on the official portal or at your taluk office before you apply.
